The Oman Animal Plant Genetic Resource Center (later changed it’s name to Mawarid) - hosted a Genobusiness Forum in 2018 to promote that diversity of animal and plant products available in Oman.

I learned so much about Oman from this project. I visited aquaponic farms, a woman making traditional ‘kajal’ or eyeliner, dairy farms in the south of Oman, fish farms in the desert, rose farming in the mountains and laboratories doing some very interesting research, like potential of frankincense for cancer research.

When I showed the final film to a panel, the complaint I received was “this is not all in Oman, you can’t show this.” And when I told them yes it was ALL filmed in Oman, all of this is here, it was shocking for the audience.
